WHAT IS CBD ?

AND ITS BENEFITS

Cannabidiol

Cannabidiol—CBD—is a cannabis compound that has significant medical benefits, but does not make people feel “stoned” and can actually counteract the psychoactivity of THC. The fact that CBD-rich cannabis is non-psychoactive or less psychoactive than THC-dominant strains makes it an appealing option for patients. Scientific and clinical research—much of it sponsored by the US government—underscores CBD’s potential as a treatment for a wide range of conditions, including Arthritis, Diabetes, MS, Chronic Pain, Schizophrenia, PTSD, Depression, Anxiety, Inflammation and Pain, Workout Recovery, Antibiotic-Resistant Infections, Epilepsy, Alcoholism, Psychosis, Seizures, Spasms and other neurological disorders. Further evidence suggests that CBD is safe even at high doses and is safe for all ages.

WHAT IS A “PHYTO-CANNABINOID”?

"Phyto-cannabinoids" are plant produced Cannabinoids that are mostly found in cannabis and hemp plants. Hemp produces other non-intoxicating cannabinoids like CBD, as well as CBN, THC-V, CBG, CBD-A, CBD-V and more. All of these cannabinoids have individualized benefits. For example, CBD can work as an inflammatory, anti-bacterial, anti-spasmodic and more.

But  when you pair that CBD with CBN, which can work as a sleep aid, pain reliever and antibiotic, you are multiplying the benefits.

CBG or “Cannabigerol” is another phyto-cannabinoid that is non-intoxicating and has a long list of potential uses and benefits.

Recent studies on CBG have shown that this cannabinoid can help slow or stop bacteria growth, works as an antifungal, and a neuroprotectant, which makes it very useful when treating gastrointestinal disorders when used orally or skin conditions when used topically.

Some researchers in Europe have even found that CBG can help greatly in the treatment of MRSA virus and gut bacteria because of these anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties.

CBG also interacts with both the CB1 and CB2 receptors (of the ECS), acting as a possible inhibitor to the intoxicating effects of THC. CBG is also thought to boost anandamide, an endocannabinoid that naturally increases dopamine levels and responsible for regulating various health functions such as mood, sleep, and appetite. GABA uptake in the brain may be obstructed by CBG, making this cannabinoid a possible anti-anxiety agent and muscle relaxant. CBG may also block serotonin receptors, showing potential antidepressant traits. And these are just a few of the over 110 phyto-cannabinoids and their benefits that we know of.

WHAT IS THE ENDOCANNABINOID SYSTEM (ECS)?

The Endocannabinoid System also commonly referred to as the ECS is an endogenous system found within the body of every mammal. This system is a complex network of physiologic compounds and receptors labeled CB1 and CB2. The ECS is responsible for creating and maintaining a state of homeostasis throughout the body. This system is highly accountable for the regulation of things such as appetite, sleep, stress, pain perception, gastric motility and more. As we age, or get sick the Endocannabinoid System is much like any other Endogenous system and may need the help of supplements, in this instance those supplements consist of cannabinoids.

The body naturally produces cannabinoids known as endocannabinoids that activate cannabinoid receptors in the ECS. Phytocannabinoids such as THC and CBD that occur naturally in hemp also activate these receptors that are otherwise deficient.

The intake of phytocannabinoids is helping many individuals find relief from a wide range of different diseases, conditions, and ailments by supplementing and strengthening their ECS.

Researchers believe the reason why hemp is able to help so many with various issues is due to phytocannabinoid saturation of these receptors. Without the intake of cannabinoids, your body can systematically enter a state of endocannabinoid deficiency. This deficiency is believed to cause things such as IBS, migraines, fibromyalgia and more.

WHERE DOES LEO CBD OIL COME FROM?

LEO CBD oil is made with CBD rich hemp that is grown in COLORADO. All of the LEO CBD oils are comprised of CO2 derived hemp extract and fractionated coconut oil, MCT (Medium-Chain Triglycerides). LEO CBD oil is free of pesticides, herbicides, and residual solvents.

Many CBD products on the market today have unclear and inconsistent labeling due to the lack of regulation and the high volume of imported products from overseas. At this time there are only four states that have stringent regulations on labeling of CBD products including Alaska, Washington, Oregon, and Colorado. All products in these states must pass state-required lab tests for potency and purity.

IS THE OIL A FULL SPECTRUM OR ISOLATE?

LEO CBD oil is a ISOLATE 99.9% PURE CBD. We do not carry full spectrum at this time.

WHAT OTHER INGREDIENTS ARE IN THE OIL?

Leo CBD oil contains no additives, sweeteners, preservatives, or artificial flavorings to make it safe and easy to use in a variety of ways, from skin to ingestion. The oil contains nothing more than CO2 derived hemp extract and fractionated coconut oil, MCT (Medium-Chain Triglycerides).

Cannabinoids such as CBD are fat soluble and more effective when consumed with fat. This is why we chose to mix our extract with coconut oil as it contains saturated fat helping the body to absorb the cannabinoids better. MCT oil is metabolized directly into energy, which allows your body to burn fat. This rapid fat burning also leads to a faster release of cannabinoids into the body in comparison to other carrier oils.

IS IT 3RD PARTY TESTED?

Yes! LEO CBD oil which is derived from CBD rich hemp flowers is 3rd party lab tested for potency and purity.

Test results for cannabinoid content and more can be reviewed for LEO CBD 1000mg and 500mg formula.
